Men's Ministry

Objectives

The Men Ministries in the General Council was conceived in 1971 to enhance fellowship among the menfolk of the church.

OBJECTIVES:

Their objectives include the following:
1. To walk daily in the spirit (Gal. 5:16)
2. To maintain Christian fellowship (Acts 2:42, Heb.10:25)
3. To serve in the house of God (Heb. 6:10, 2Tim. 2:20 – 21).
4. To tell others about Christ my Saviour (2Tim. 4:2)
5. To have a disciplined Christian home (Gen. 18:19)
6. To help others as I can (Gen. 6:2, I Tim. 6:17 – 19)
7. To defend my faith in the light of the gospel (I Pet. 3:15).
8. To bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal. 5:22 – 23).
9. To recognize my manly responsibilities (I Tim. 5:8).
10. To shun evil and pursue peace (Heb. 12:14)

Operations

HISTORY/PURPOSE:
The Men Ministries in the General Council was created in 1971 to enhance fellowship among the menfolk of the church for the purposes of. At the district level, Men’s Ministries in Lagos District began as Men’s Fellowship about 38 years ago (1984-2022) when she was carved out from the then Western District and was christened, Lagos Area.

1. Contributing effectively to the growth of the church and fellowship with one another by involving men in Evangelism.
2. Raising Men for Physical and Spiritual transformation.
3. Stabilizing Men in Christian Faith.
4. Creating Awareness of the Responsibilities of Men at National, District /Sectional, and Local Church.
5. Supporting genuine ministers and the ministry of the Word of God and others.
6. Raising Men of Integrity and Honest Reports.
7. Financing Men’s Ministries and Projects.
8. Equipping Men for Leadership. Etc.
